At AIF, innovation starts with its business model. Only a minor portion of the financing for its activities and projects comes from donations. AIF’s projects are geared mainly to transferring financial resources within a given country from the financially strong to the poor and needy, be they sections of the population or geographical regions.

The model therefore aims to lower a country’s dependence on foreign financial resources and preserve and strengthen its sovereignty, integrity and efficiency. One of the main objectives is to reduce the enormous disparities between rich and poor, chiefly by transferring financial resources within a country, thereby alleviating social tensions between the various population strata and consequently contributing to the country’s stability.

This innovative, integrated model conforms perfectly to the spirit of the young, better educated, progressively thinking, aspiring African societies, and addresses the new national pride of the African nations. “Help yourself” and “Africa for Africa” is the creed of the young generation, one to which AIF fully subscribes.
